Mid-City Carriages Inc.

Mid-City Carriages,Inc. represents an effort to diversify a transportation business that has been in the City Of New Orleans for over seventy years.  The goal and purposes of the carriage business was to supplement the existing transportation company, Charbonnet Transportation Co., while enhancing the services that were provided, and to re-introduce animal drawn vehicles, a fabric of the ambiance of this City since its earliest years.

The Company began working in City Park during the Summer of 1990.  The unique carriages appealed to everyone who saw them.  Their beaty added to the glory of the park.  Soon, reservations for carriage ride, weddings, and transportation to dinner parties were being sought on a regular basis.  The Company started operations with two carriages and four animals. The increase in inventory attest to the  acceptance and demand enjoyed by the Company.
